Dr. Wilhelm Lichtenberg
Dr Wilhelm Lichtenberg is more than just a caring doctor. His musical talent has earned him the title of "The Singing Surgeon". He lives in Cape Town, where he is in full-time practice as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
His father is responsible for fostering a young Wilhelm's deep love of music, and so the dream of being an opera singer started in his early years.
Young Hearts Africa
Another important part of Dr Lichtenberg's life is his foundation, the Young Hearts Africa Foundation. Young Hearts Africa is all about caring for the hearts of the children of our continent.
Every child deserves a chance to live a healthy and fulfilling life, and to become the best that they can be. Together with a team of dedicated surgeons and nurses, the foundation brings lifesaving cardiac care to children across Africa.
